“WaterCop” The Only Emergency Water Shut-off System
Sandy, UT. 2002—ATEC, a technology company focusing on residential and commercial
applications, has introduced to its growing family of products the “WaterCop”. WaterCop is a self contained, wireless leak detection and automatic water shut-off system for your home.
The system or "team" consists of two key parts The WaterCop, and The WaterHounds. Simply put the WaterCop is an automatic electric valve for your water supply line. WaterCop should be installed on your main water line after the existing manual shut-off valve. WaterCop is not designed to replace your current water shut-off valve. The WaterHounds are battery operated water sensor probes with wireless transmitters. WaterHounds constantly monitor the floor or the area behind or under specific leak prone areas of your home.
How does it work? Well it's simple really! Your trusty friend WaterCop and his faithful partners the WaterHounds work together to protect your home from water damage that can be caused by leaks in your plumbing system. The WaterCop and WaterHound team will work behind the scenes to monitor your home for water leakage at specific and predetermined locations. When any strategically placed WaterHound detects moisture where it is not supposed to be, it will immediately send a wireless signal to the WaterCop control unit telling WaterCop to turn off the household water supply.
It could be 3AM, you could be home or away on vacation, it could be a little leak or a real "gusher", the WaterCop team works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year protecting your home from water damage caused by most plumbing leaks.
